The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law “To amend article 6 of the Law of Ukraine “On State Budget of Ukraine for 2012” (re financing modernization and reconstruction of gas pipeline network)

The Law was elaborated to realize the Memorandum on mutual understanding between the National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine and "Ferrostaal Industrieanlagen GmbH" of July 2, 2012.

Approximate cost of the project is EUR 50 million, 85 per cent of which will be the loan funds of German Bank "Deutsche Bank”. To receive the abovementioned loan, the Ukrainian Party should support it with state guarantees and insure at the German national export and credit insurance agency "Euler Hermes Deutschland AG (Hermes)".

The respective bill was registered under No. 11341.
